A Question of Values<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We must move beyond Homo Sapiens and evolve into Homo Verus<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a society today, we are facing a problem of values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need to foster culture, to share knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must create an environment and context capable of generating those fertile and guiding circumstances<\/strong> for the individual\u2014whether child or adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circumstances that foster participation and orient the individual toward those absolute and non-negotiable values<\/strong>, such as Life and Peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only in this way\u2014and only in this way\u2014can the mind gradually detox from the many false promises and dominant, misleading models of today<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a deception that is presented to us daily by this increasingly extreme virtual-media dimension: effortless success<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, when we look behind the curtain, we discover that anyone who has achieved meaningful results<\/strong> in any area of life\u2014family, love, friendship, community, wealth, work, spirituality, body\u2014has had to work hard<\/strong> to achieve them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And even if they began driven by a need for recognition, revenge, ambition, or positioning, the effort itself certainly improved them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also improved the lives of others\u2014if<\/strong>, in addition to that effort, they understood the necessity of educating themselves in order to educate others<\/strong>: in other words, of transforming themselves into a model for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only when we commit to this process of ex ducere<\/em>\u2014to draw out the best within us\u2014can we truly excel<\/strong>, meaning to express outwardly the part of us that is truly the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A New P.H.A.S.E.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Each of us feels the need for a deeper humanization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As my dear friend, neuropsychologist Margriet Sitskoorn, says:
We must leave Homo Sapiens behind and step into Homo Verus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must look at ourselves and our history for what we can become<\/strong>\u2014through our commitment to cultivating ourselves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must enter a new P.H.A.S.E.<\/strong>
(P.H.A.S.E., to me, is the acronym for the development of our species: Philosophy, Art, Science, Economy<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the dawn of our existence, we have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
