What is love, if violence is the absence from life?In this article, we explore a new perspective on the law of love.<\/p>\n\n

<\/div>\n\n

Since the beginning of humankind, violence has existed.<\/h4>\n\n

But this does not mean that human beings are inherently violent\u2014it means that there is something within us that, at times, reacts with a violent response.<\/p>\n\n

Wherever there is violence, there is certainly a low level of awareness.But awareness of what, exactly?<\/p>\n\n

Awareness of our inner world, and of what it is\u2014and what it can offer us.<\/p>\n\n

Indeed, when we come into contact with our inner world, we discover that we can think about life in new ways, and we can choose to step away from that automatic dynamic<\/strong> (stimulus-response) that too often causes us to succumb to violence, losing all perception of ourselves and of others<\/strong>.<\/p>

The path of violence, which overwhelms us with negative and destructive emotions<\/strong>, and with the inability to master ourselves and move toward the best version of who we are, could be described as the state of our absence from life<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

So, what then is love\u2014if violence is absence from life?<\/h4>\n\n

Quite simply, love is its opposite<\/strong>: Presence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The ultimate purpose of every human being must be the ability to say, consciously:<\/p>

\u201cHere I am. I am here. I stay here<\/strong>.<\/em>
I am here in life; I remain present to it, to honor life as the gift I receive within myself\u2014breath by breath\u2014and which allows me to be who I am.\u201d<\/em><\/p> \n<\/blockquote><\/p>\n\n

In truth, none of us exists without life.<\/p>\n\n

Life enables us to express ourselves in the world.
It enables us to feel part of creation, and\u2014through this sense of belonging<\/strong>\u2014to become agents of transformation.<\/p>\n\n

This is not about doing what everyone does, or about achieving the success that everyone deserves and has a right to express. It is something deeper and higher.<\/p>\n\n

It is about feeling that love brings me closer to you.<\/p>\n\n

It is about understanding that love helps me recognize the need for unity<\/strong>, the need for a shared improvement\u2014a path, a process of evolution.
Whoever you are<\/em>, by reflecting yourself in me, you allow me to see myself in you<\/strong>.<\/p>

Only love can open me to this threefold dimension<\/strong>:<\/p>
