Today, I want to speak about the soul.
There are moments in our lives when it becomes vitally important to believe we can expand.
The dwellings of the soul are those spaces in which we can imagine the unimaginable—where we can believe it is possible to go far, far, far beyond our limits and our habits.
It is essential that we regularly visit this dimension of our being, because it is the only one that truly enables us to see beyond our usual horizons.
Among all creatures on this planet, the human being alone possesses the ability to constantly rethink itself—and thus to evolve inwardly, becoming, day by day, something “other”: that better self within the self.
This brings us, quite naturally, to a question:
What better use of our time could there be than to take part in life?
To let ourselves be inspired, and become wholeheartedly involved?
To say to ourselves and to the world around us:
“Here I am—take me—I am here, with all of myself, to join you in this great adventure that is life”?
Let me close this reflection with five invitations for this year:
- Tell yourself not only who you are, but who you wish to become.
- Do not hand over the wheel of your life to anyone else—you are the captain. Steer your story towards the port you wish to reach: your own idea of success.
- Do not be distracted, sidetracked, or overwhelmed by the many temptations and stimuli around you—stay on course, true to your chosen direction.
- Look around—many are ready to sail alongside you.
- Remind yourself daily that you matter—and act in ways that prove it.
If we take this inward step to meet the soul—if we are unafraid, if we do not retreat but instead move forward—our lives are met with and filled by countless moments of deep and vibrant joy, which begin in silence and lead us towards love.
